Students learn math from a spiral approach, which emphasizes incremental development of new material and continuous review of previously taught concepts, reinforcing previously gained knowledge throughout the year. Students will cover 4-5 new concepts each week in class, and complete practice sets throughout the week.
Recommended for: Grade 8 or 9 students who have successfully completed Saxon 8/7, or students who have tested into this level of math using the Saxon placement test (link below).
Textbooks: Provided on LOAN. Students may not write in textbooks and must return book at the end of the school year.
Homework: Rigorous - students will have daily practice assignments to complete throught the week, but parents retain the flexibility to adjust the workload appropriately.
