Semester 1: Atoms, Molecules, and Matter - Explore the wonders of science! Delve into the building blocks of the universe and the principles of physical and chemical change.
Semester 2 - Inventions, Machines, and Motion - Discover physical science concepts and principles such as laws of motion, friction, levers, pulleys, and the marvels of flight Learn through hands-on experiments, projects, and series of in-class interactive lessons. Based on units from the the God’s Design Masterbooks series this class is taught from a Biblical Creationist Worldview.
Students are not required to purchase or read “textbook” materials for this class, but will make their own interactive student notebook throughout the school year to illustrate their learning.
Homework: Moderate. Students will be given a homework choice list each week. Students will be expected to select and complete at least one homework option. Students may also be asked to complete any interactive notebook assignments not completed in class.
