STUDENTS MAY RE-ENROLL IN THIS CLASS FOR UP TO 2 YEARS TO CONTINUE DEVELOPING SKILLS WITHOUT REPEATING ASSIGNED READING OR PROJECTS.
In this engaging course, students will explore classic literature of various genres through the lens of a Christian worldview, analyzing themes, characters, and moral lessons from a biblical perspective. Through thought-provoking discussions and interactive projects, students will deepen their literary experience and develop critical thinking skills.
Alongside reading, students will receive guided instruction in creative writing and composition. They will practice crafting compelling narratives, strengthening their descriptive language, and developing strong essay-writing skills with structured support. This course fosters a love for literature while equipping students with essential writing techniques to express their thoughts clearly and effectively.
Textbook: None. Parents are responsible for aquiring assigned literature in the format of their choosing. (Print, digital, or audiobook format are all acceptable! Choose the format that best fits your student's needs).
Homework: Moderate. Students will be expected to complete weekly reading assignements and / or writing assignments. Homework may also include the completion of hands-on projects related to assigned literture.
